FROM THE NORTH - Those coming from Wintergreen, Charlottesville, Nelson County
Take Route 29 South and where the road folks at the third Town of Amherst exit stay to the right - Route 29 Business/Madison Heights (if you see the Sweet Briar College sign you're headed in the right direction). Continue on Route 29 South for about 8 miles or so. As you come into Madison Heights the speed limit will reduce to 45 MPH. We're on the left side of the road just across from the Whitten Funeral Home. If you see a Route 130 sign or a Sheetz Gas Station you've passed us. Please turn around and head back North about 3/10s of a mile and you'll see our sign on the right.
FROM THE SOUTH - Coming from Altavista, Campbell County, City of Lynchburg
Take Route 29 North. Cross the James River where you'll enter Amherst County and Madison Heights. Watch your speed coming through "the Heights". Cross the Route 130 and Route 29 intersection (Sheetz on your right and a CVS Pharmacy on your left. We're about 3/10s of a mile North of the Sheetz on the right. Big Red, White and Blue sign and lots of stone in the yard.
FROM THE WEST - from Salem and Roanoke
Take Route 460 East and as you come into the outskirts of Lynchburg stay on the business by-pass. Stay on 460 East and take the Madison Heights Route 29 By-Pass (North) which will also mention Amherst and Charlottesville. Stay on the By-Pass (70 MPH) and take the Route 130 Exit. At the end of the ramp turn to the left on to Route 130 West. Stay on Route 130W for approximately 5 miles - the speed will reduce to 35 MPH. At the light (Route 130 and 29 intersection) take a right headed North on Route 29. We're located about 3/10s of a mile on the right.
FROM THE EAST - from Richmond and Appomattox
Take Route 460 West and at the Route 29 Madison Heights By-Pass take 29 North (the sign will read to Amherst and Charlottesville). Cross the James and at the second exit which is Route 130 at the ramp turn left on to Route 130 West. At the intersection of Rt. 130 and 29 (the Sheetz will be on your left) take a right on to Route 29 North. We're just 3/10s of a mile up Rt29 on the right side of the Road - you'll see a big read, white and blue P&W sign.
If you're coming in from the West End of Richmond take Interstate 64 West. At the last Charlottesville exit take Route 29 South. After about 45 minutes you'll run past the three Town of Amherst Exits and once to that point use the directions above from the NORTH.
