This photo shows a close-up of the lower retaining wall. The tarp at the right of the picture is covering the swimming pool. There is considerable dust put in the air when cutting the stone to fit properly and we wanted to be sure not to stain the pool or possibly clog the filtering system.

This shot shows a tiered terrace requiring construction of two 75' cinderblock retaining walls. The walls were constructed in the back yard of a custom home located in Stony Creek, a development at the base of Wintergreen Mountain. The two walls are covered in Quality Stone Veneer's Chardonnay Shadowledge stone. The stone is applied using a dry-stack technique. Proper installation of a wall of this kind requires a great deal of cut and fit of each stone. The two walls were capped with large pieces of natural multi-colored stand-up flagstone.

Before & After - Federal Hill Historic District - Lynchburg, VA
This is a natural stone wall job we did in the Historic District - Federal Hill in Lynchburg, VA. The original wall was installed in the mid-1800s and over the years had deteriorated and crumbled into the sidewalk. We removed the original stone, prepared a proper footing and rebuilt the entire wall as well as resetting the slab stone steps.)

A paver patio and garden wall stone staircase on a custom home built above the 13th fairway of the Ivy Hills golf course. The paver materials are manufactured by NicoLock. The customer also included a modular outdoor fireplace from FireRock.)
