Natural stone is also a great alternative material that can be used for your walk-way, patio or front entry. There are many types of stone that can be used but the key consideration is clefting, i.e., how much relief is on the stone's surface. PA Flagstone is a viable alternative as is Buckingham slate. We carry both in both irregular shapes as well as sawn in sized pieces that can be installed in a pattern. Prices vary depending on the amount of excavation required but as a rough rule of thumb budget $10.00 to $12.00 per square foot.
